Video Description: Welcome to 2nd session on the 1st day here in Corfu. In Corfu itself I was very privileged to go and visit Greek Church where Saint Spyridon body still lies there who did a lot to awaken people in his own time. There are people worship dead saints than alive human beings. Lot of time people get confused when they talk within as its difficult to judge who you are talking to mind or your teacher? But when there is a PLM in our life, he can tell us whether its message of saint or mind. Is there a connection between India and Corfu? I think Corfu will be an important spiritual centre in the future. If you seek you will find. To find the truth only qualification you require is you are a seeker. Prayer should be to tell whoever we believe in- tell him what you feel. Prayer is not get something about it or a business transaction.

Best prayer is when you pray for the grace of the Lord upon you.

6min- In the beginning we cannot see grace, God or anything…we are totally blind and we think we have a freewill to get do something to get something. So we put effort and masters come and say yes put in efforts…those rules are put for our mind as it believes in it. As we progress we find grace is more important and at the end we discover even the effort we put was grace. Its a delicate combination of effort and grace. Its all effort now and all grace at the end. Effort is an expression of grace at this level. Lord Krishna talking to his disciple Arjun says if you want to be a true yogi do your action with utmost skills…put your very best effort and don’t worry about the result. How much meditation we should do? Is it necessary to quantify? I told you the story of my friend who meditated 2.5hours on his watch. Quantity and quality are two things in meditation. Quality is very important…how well your attention is concentrated within yourself. Indian mystic kabir says people who try to repeat words of naam…but they repeat by holding beads and speaking in tongue but mind is thinking of everything else, then there is no value at all. Listening is the key to any progress on the spiritual path. Listening is the main thing as that pulls you up. When listening to mantra, it becomes effective. The more intently you can listen of the word, sound…the better the quality of meditation and better your success in meditation. All knowledge, spiritual experiences lies within us, nothing exists outside. Outside are shadow from what is inside.

Soul always listens and mind always speaks.

13min- Where should we meditate? On the sixth floor behind the eyes…do any improvements right there. If you visit that regularly, you will see all the improvements. You can make it into anything. But you have to start from the centre. Learning how to be there behind the eyes. All we will do now is to discover where to meditate. Meditation often makes people go to sleep. How to prevent that? If you are already tired, then it’s difficult to meditate. You will notice your attention falls from this point downwards towards throat centre (when you have dreams). The mantra is repeated for 2-3 reasons- these are words given by a guru so that by repeating them we do not allow other thoughts to come in…to push the words of thought out. It is a thought illuminating purpose of words. Words should be repeated slowly and attentively listened to. Also, these do not mean much to us here but when PLM does he empower them by connecting them to events within (inner spiritual experiences) and thirdly they are empowered to prevent negativity to come into your work for your spiritual development. So a mantra is a device to keep out all negativity. These are the main uses of mantra. Mantra deliberately spoken and LISTENING to it will help. The more you listen intently, the greater will be your concentration of attention behind the eyes. The mind keeps on thinking other things and reason it mind does not think in one channel. These are common mistakes that we make that we think we are doing meditation whereas we are letting the mind doing the mantra and running around with the same mind. Solution is- when we do mantra…don’t stop mantra but use the other voice to repeat the mantra…3rd one comes add them too…ask the other person to join right there…sometime in real effective meditation we can have a chorus of mantra in our head and then concentration can take place.

25min- How many of you have been given initiation, naam by a master? Those who have this, by a living person, you know in next phase imagine your master/ guru/ spiritual teacher…and include him in the repetition of the mantra. Guru Ji I struggle why don’t you do the mantra and I will do listening to you. Sometimes this makes you a better listener and builds up faith. You become an intent listener to the words of the mantra by repeating by your own master in front you inside. Having Master doing simran is another element that brings in love and devotion. Now I want to ask if any questions written up?

29min- I have a feeling if you stop thinking, you will die. Thoughts are the heart beat of the mind. Therefore, when you say still the mind, it means something different. A friend of mine in Harvard said he has worked out a way to stop thinking. He came to my apartment and Baba ji and they did this experiment to see how this works for 60seconds. Interesting story… how did he make a mistake that he has stopped thinking? Mind never stops thinking.

Still your mind, really means don’t listen to your mind and be away from it and be quiet. It’s called ignoring the mind.

34min- Self is just a listener. It is interesting that people say that you should do quiet meditation. When we meditate behind the eyes, we meditate on the sixth energy chakra or third eye centre. It opens both ways (via eyes, inwards to connect to the 10th door because other apertures in our body) these 9 doors are an outlet for attention to connect to this world. The six chakra meditation can be done in two ways- energy block or in the beginning of the 12th chakra. Grace of God…nothing happen, you are not a seeker and we discover towards the end it was all Grace…therefore Grace of God…we can’t see God but his grace is flowing all the time. It falls on us like rain. Cup upside-down is never filled up….if you turn it slightly few drops go in and if you turn it upside it fills up quickly. Inwards and upwards inside you that’s when grace showers upon you. Rain is flowing inside is caught from the 10th door inside. Helping is not to convert people but if somebody is curious to learn something, help! But remember your own personal experience should digest them they are so full that overflow can be shared with others. If cup is full and still raining and your cup is overflowing, then you should consider sharing. Your personal experiences should not be shared because when you share an experience something in you ego gets boost…it makes it grow (than humble). That is why when you have little experience hold it to yourself, build on it. Of course while you are on this path people will come across who are interested in it if they ask question respond to what they have asked no more. It is a path meant for seekers. You can’t find a master…there are so many masters because a PLM is so ordinary, he doesn’t have to say or show anything. He has to prove by seeking we have and in response to seeking we have. When chela is ready, guru appears. That is why its always wise to seek inside and then unconditional love of a person…that’s what I was looking for all my life…if that happens that is the master. Let the readiness of disciple decide what to do next.

44min- I did say I wasted many years not meditating correctly…but the questionnaire is correct, I didn’t waste it. I will share a story of a keen seeker, Trilok Chand, from Burma. Amazing story with a story within this story of Ashtavakra. At the end Trilok met GM….and he was initiated by him and made rapid progress. One day he was sitting in a small group (I was there) had I known you were the REAL one I would have not given that guy 30K…the day you came I transferred those 30K to my account. ❤ There is no waste in this…I will see you again tomorrow.
