Secret of Spiritual Path | Who is God | Power of Listening | Priorities

Chicago (IL), Part 2 of 2

Video Description: In this video Baba Ji starts his talk in a Q&A session. He shares a story of his father (Lekhraj) of going to GM when he missed his talk to ask about question on rebirth. Ishwar Ji also talked about gift of initiation also helps an initiates 7-generations. He emphasized on importance of continuously seeking and asking questions on the path and not follow it blindly. GM used to say one must clear their doubts. Intellectuals particularly have more doubts hence can take longer to get on to the spiritual path; hence, their questions needs to be answered satisfactorily. Doubts can hold one back even if they are on the right path.

He differentiated between listening and speaking where the power of listening and speaking originates from soul and mind, respectively. If one repeats the words they will not make any progress without listening to what is being repeated. Mind is used to form habits and habit automatically becomes repetition. We speak too much both from mouth and mind.

Reasons for doing simran- Repeating a mantra (simran) takes place in the thought stream hence it (simran) helps in locking many thoughts. Therefore if we can make simran a habit then the inner-sound can becomes stronger with less thoughts. He talked about seeing the radian form of the Master.

Initiation burns sanchit karma and Prarabdha karma can be burnt by meditation.

There is reference to GM’s grandsons (Charan Singh and Purushottam Singh), David Lee showing letters to Ishwar Ji. Also about Young Ishwar Ji with GM and showed GM’s with his signature wrote “Meet the Lord now is the time…do not think tomorrow is the time”. Story on Japanese and Chinese artists competing to make beautiful painting, story of Shankar in Bombay with his disciple. He explains very clearly on what is reality and what is an illusion. Then there is reference to Chinese famous philosopher Fa-Hein (which actually could be Zhuangzi?). There is brief reference to Book “Glimpse of the Great Master”. He mentions about teaching satisfying curious and skeptic minds.
