Video Description: He said do not try finding place in head for meditation…we are trying to become unaware of the body and not thinking about it. Starting point is the MOST important point. Our life-style also impacts quality of meditation. Meditation is not a mechanical exercise but requires rest of our life style to be consistent. How do we become calm? By meditaiton therefore a lot of meditation is to prepare ourselves on the spiritual path for REAL meditation. For REAL meditaiton we have to be presented at the 3rd eye center. Why is it called that? Many words have been used to describe it. Its called that became 2 eyes do not see the same thing. The images are merged behind in the center of the head and there we see one image. In 3D movies, they put extra glasses on eyes so that two separate scenes on screen merge and look like 3D world. All space we see in front of us becomes 3D because of the nature of the 2 eyes but what we see is not in the eyes but in the 3rd eye center. We want to see at the point where we are that is why 3rd eye center is considered as location of wakeful consciousness.

Many dreams traumatic emotional come when we move from heart to throat center. There is data in our mind…its not in the brain but mind. Brain is piece of this body, thinking mind is part of thinking consciousness. Therefore, mind is a function that takes place in the brain but we have to be consciousness of function of the brain. Lot of studies are going today to show mind keeps on function even brain is removed. Mind appears to have longer history than brain and body. Mind is not a new entity but very old entity. Mind holds information cannot be hold by the brain and we are able to pick up information about past lives. All this is possible because mind carries information that brain cannot carry. If we want to maintain level of awareness same as in wakeful state. In wakeful state we want to be at the 3rd Eye Center- we are always at 3rd eye center that is why its a natural location of a wakeful state and meditation begins in wakeful state not when we are sleeping.

He asked take cold shower, walk and be completely awake before we start meditation. We use meditaiton as calming influence then we explore what we can see with our imagination by closing the eyes. When we see the big space around us…we then began to do activities over there. The more activities we do there the more we will be able to succeed in getting attention there. One problem however…when we are trying to figure our things there we are thinking what is happening outside and try to bring those things inside! So attention is still going out…that is why to overcome this, we use simple words for repetition (14min) aka simran to continuously mediate all the words so mind gets occupied with the word.

The words should not be repeated mechanically...the intention is we put all our attention on the words!

He referred to Kabir’s quote on meditaiton. Simran is only effective if we are to put attention on those words. How? Same way we put attention someone else speaking….by listening carefully…when we listen carefully we are putting attention on those words…when we speak the words…listen to the words. Do not merely speak but listen to what we speak. We will notice listening is far more important than speaking…the mind speaks…soul listens!!!

Step 2- After being in 3rd eye center the next step is start speaking not with tongue but with the INNER tongue (tongue of the thoughts!). and listen to what we are repeating…both can happen together and that i the correct way of doing simran. What words should we repeat? Any word that do not draw attention outside. He talked about Shakey’s Pizza (17min). If there is connection outside then it should be something connection to the inside. Its important what words we use. He talked about GM giving 5 words which represent different things and expected to see inside the meditaiton. From one stage of wakefulness to higher stage and they do not have much relevance outside and they have good effect when we repeat them as our mind goes inside not outside. Not only that- question how fast should we do simran?

Counting slow or fast is a process of thinking outside therefore the correct way to repeat simran is repeat in slow steady way without any pause. The ability to listen simran this way INCREASES.

If we are able to do simran we are able to hold attention to words mind is repeating..what happens if we keep doing it. Its a strange experience…listening to sound of those words…we begin to hear other sounds…attention to those words can bring up other listening capacities. The listening device we have in us enhances our listening capability.

Secret of meditaiton lies in attention and concentration of attention.

Some sounds are physical therefore can be created by breathing etc. in the body but those sounds which are not created by part of the body only natural to our own consciousness self they have strange melody of their own. There is no harshness or beat in them but very strange kind of sound. When we find where its coming from …we lose it (25min)! We are so used to listening to ears our attention moves from one or other ears. Very often we find some sound move wherever our attention goes. IT takes sometime to discover that those sounds are coming from within us; it is necessary not to lose the center of the location do not go right or left for sounds. The real sound for effective meditation (higher than simran) is to put attention on sound coming from within us. Distinction from us sound is if we stay in center looks like its surround-sound…if we don’t move its coming from all around it as if we have shower of sound around it. It has resemblance to big bell (kind of like Church bell). It is like continuous bell-sound. The sound from self is one we should pick up…in beginning we hear sound from the side but do not miss them but practice them (practice sound). We hear drum, thunder, truck, train sounds etc.

Practice sound practice the art of listening is very important. We are then able to put our attention more easily. Its an exercise that takes time. Since we have practice listening to simran it makes it easy for us to hear sound of the self. When we listen to us, what happens? There is no faster way to drawing attention to us. Meditation helps to discover who we are- not the body, mind, senses not any concept of us but who are we? That is why its important question who is the self? Listening t o the self is the fastest way to move to the self. It looks like sound- sounds like sound. But is it really sound? Is our real self merely a sound? No- sound is not ourselves. When we discover the self is we discover self is creative power of anything we create ever have. The sound is being creative by creative self its our conscious self. Consciousness is our reality- division is an experience its not ourselves our self is Totality of Consciousness including all the experiences it has generated. Sound is merely an ability given to us a radiation from consciousness to reach the self. Its also a means of reaching the self but its not the self. The whole show is happening within the self. The division is merely an experience of the self. All these experiences are taking place within the self.

(34min) A PLM is one who has attained that level of Totality of Consciousness a human being like us. Sometime people get frightened hearing these sounds- we feel the body is ourselves, we have no realization at all the body is temporary. When we use sound for drawing ourselves- he recommended to finds go slow to find the truth during meditation. Our attention withdrawal from the body and we feel we are dying. The fear of death prevents us from going too fast (37min). GM said Lekh Raj (Ishwar’ name) about statics of death. Meditation prevents death from coming- the experience of death is a good experience. Dying while living is the real spiritual path because we will not be afraid of death after that. We will know that its only body that dies we don’t die! GM said what will happen we actually die…what do you expect? I expect you to be there. GM said to his father I will be there to take care of him. GM advised don’t rush through…let your hands and feet die first. Meditate in stages to withdrawal of attention from this body. Spiritual path is not necessarily a one lifetime path. It can be 4 lifetimes as stated by Swamiji (42min) but in this age the iron age everything has been speeded up now we can achieve same results in one lifetime! Therefore take simran easy. Practice listening to the sounds and then look at the sound that is coming from the center. If we can put attention to peal of the bell. What will happen to the sound…sound changes…it never remains the same…it becomes the continuous sound. It brings up attention from outer-self to inner self more completely.

The Astral world is so amazing anything we imagine becomes a reality (45min). Astral plane is hard to describe time and space are different there. It has capacity to see things we cannot have here. What we thought was our free will was will predetermined much earlier. What is the nature of ourselves in the astral plane? Exactly same but there is no matter and no body. Body is made of sense perception. We have same shape of the body…slightly larger there is no weight in Astral plane.On other hand sense perception is much sharper but the mind that thinks is still the same. Mind does not change only change is we experience a new self and able to fly where we like. Astral plane is great experience but it is not our true home. True home is far beyond time and space and astral plane is in time and space. The astral plane has experiences high and low like in physical world sometime an extreme. The most pleasure experience are in Heaven and worst than here are called Hell. Heavens and Hells religions talk off are located there. All religions have personified God as he is a being like us but we cannot see his shape and therefore we can worship him and he is sitting in heaven. Therefore Heaven and Hell are astral plane experiences. When we say we sit next to God (51min) we can as God is personified. Who is that God? Religion may not like the answer it is a soul that has done such good job that its karmic reward is to be at that stage. Religion became more popular as Spirituality was taking us beyond personification…PLM are symbols of Totality of Consciousness. Initiated are caught up in Astral plane that is why its important to remember astral plane experience is not our home…we have to go beyond. The method is still the same..put attention on our self behind the astral eyes. The thinking machine the mind is also like a body i.e. casual self to go beyond that is beyond casual plane as we meditate with the mind. We have reached end o f the mind at casual plane. If meditaiton is not going top help what else will? That will be his subject for 3rd talk tomorrow ❤ Mind is greatest obstacle, and help on the spritiaul path. So we have to hgo beyonf the mind,. Practice take it easy do meditaion with slow steady pace…focus attention on things doing…do not think of things outside. Attention has to be withdrawal from outside to inside on our own self. He will talk about path to go beyond the mind.
