Answers to Our Mind’s Curiosity, Value of Faith on the Spiritual Path | Ishwar Puri (Part 5 of 5)

Video Description: Welcome friends to this final session of this 3 day program here in London. All that I have shared with you has come from this master. Its his teachings that have worked for me. I hope it works and helps you also. I want to finally say…we can use meditation which is a ritual…up to a point…meditation by itself does not take us to sachkhand…Guru Bhakti…love and devotion of the master…that’s the final thing I’ve found out. Meditation is for our mind. There is no harm in asking questions. I talked about blind and living faith. To some extent faith is always…to see something is not faith it is experience..faith is to believe something without seeing it. But you take a very small step in faith…and some experience adds to it and then you believe in the next step and so on…to the extent, the first step is a leap of faith (not different from blind faith) i.e should except one step. Faith is an important ingredient on the spiritual path. There is a small story of 2 young boys in Juhu beach in Bombay to buy ice-cream where boy bought a sand castle than ice-cream. Really nice story by Baba Ji. On faith you get a great bargain โค

8min- Faith grows with experience but a little faith is necessary to move forward. Because we are seekers we have some faith already. To get experience at this stage where we are we have to put in our effort. Effort means which our master has told us. If you don’t do meditation and we postpone that we cannot expect step to happen. Meditation only takes you further and other experiences will take place to build your faith. So many of us I notice me included wasted so much time keeping meditation locked up in our cupboards. Step No 1 is the master has said to start from here if we can’t get 1st step how can we expect other steps to happen.I am again sharing with you…I know meditation is not easy…even the desire needs to be strong but time slips… sometimes months passed…so we postpone this…

I am suggesting very seriously if you want to get the results I speak about…you should put your meditation as priority No. 1…everything else will follow.

Ishwar Puri Ji

12min- If you do 5min meditation daily in the morning when you wake up and 5min before going to sleep…every day..you will see momentum growing and start seeing benefits. Meditation is such a strange thing it needs its own momentum. It is very important to have high-quality meditation…means not just close eyes parrot-like….it means you are anxious to meet the radiant form of the master inside. Anexity to meet the beloved…that is high-quality meditation. There was a friend of mine in San Fransisco….I was tired from a long journey but he was a very good meditator…so I was really upset but to keep up the face I said I will meditate with you also. At 3am I woke up…we meditated…but I was not really meditating …I was thinking about what he is doing. By coincidence every time I hope my eyes he was looking at his watch. He had to complete 2.5 hours. Then he said very good meditation we had…I said my friend it was not meditation on our satguru or on ourselves but was on your watch..that is poor-quality meditation. If you meditate high-quality by sitting in the head and calling on your guru…where are you waiting…I want to see you…I am at the railway station…where are you! You will think you will meditate for 5 minutes…and you will meditate for 2.5 hours. Use meditation as means to contact the master. Big advantage of getting initiation is he is ALWAYS inside and we can have communication inside. But without trying how we can have joy of that companionship with that friend. Use the words…its not merely to repeat it to control our mind also to prevent mind from getting false image of the master. Try them out…if we never use the power of words of simran then we haven’t fully utilised our initiation. If you use contemplation, visualisation of the master…I want to see the master and sometime you imagine seeing the master…if you take picture of the master…that is not dhyaan…useful is to remember when you met him…how you met him…what he looked like as a living person…you can remember friends..image comes in front of you…then talk to the master…repeat the words…pause talk to the master…and repeat the words again…what will happen he will start talking to you as if that old contact with you is continuous then he will become alive for you. He will see him in total darkness (radiant form). Radiant form is when you close your eyes in darkness you can still see everything not just master.

22min- As you talk to the master he becomes alive and becomes friend then you enjoy meditation. I shared story of my friend Hira Singh great disciple of my master. GM went to his house…other masters came of different deras and he invited all of them. I saw so many Satsang in his house. I took some American friends with me, showed them dera etc. We stopped at Hira Singh and we had lunch and lot of people knew me and began to ask questions and I was giving answer. Hira Singh said I want to ask you a question- you and I have been initiated by same master…I follow instructions rigidly for more than 40 years regular meditation for 2.5hours but I have seen nothing inside. Way you talk it looks you have seen something and answering other people’s questions. I said my brother why are you asking me this question…you should have asked from your own master (Baba Sawan Singh Ji). He said I did ask him…he smiled do your simran with love and devotion. He asked almost all and they smile do your meditation with love and devotion. I said why are you asking me this question …because others are asking you. Master Ji said I have to consult my own master inside…I asked GM this question…whatever he said I tell them its not my master. I will try…it takes time…how much time….I said around 6 months! Because I was going to come back from America. He said alright I will wait…I visited him after 6 months…I said the same answer he gave to you 40 years ago…you were meditating mechanically but not doing via love and devotion โค You repeated words but where was your contemplation for your master… that happen when you do something with love and devotion. Make your presence and master’s presence felt inside…try again…I will check again after 6 months…I came back after 6 months he made far more progress had inner experiences in those 6 months than he did in 40 years! When you meditate…everyday as priority no 1 with love and devotion. This is from my personal experience. It should be a part of guru Bhakti…devotion which comes from pure love of master. Paltu sahib said “there is nothing except bhakti and pyaar counts”. Do your meditation regularly with love and devotion. Once again I thank you all for being patient and listening without any interruption. I could see your faces love and devotion I am speaking about. When I see you in personal meetings I see how much love and devotion you already have…put it to use…this opportunity does not come easily. So take full advantage of this opportunity…GM blessings with all of you.
